Locally known simply as Donau, the popular nightlife venue hidden just behind MQ might not be easy to find on the first try. There is no sign outside and if you don't want to try out the different doors you might have to wait for other party goers to show up to show you in. In summer though the inconspicuous door might be open a crack leading you into one of the oldest and coolest party spots of the city.
The venue is transformed daily through fantastic slide projection show which cover every inch of the place. Every night including Sunday and Monday, which is rarity in Vienna, you can dance the night away to the sound of electronic music played by the hottest underground DJs of the city. Not only there is no entrance fee but also Donau has inexpensive drinks and visit during generous discounts on cocktails during happy hours. When you feel peckish or need more energy to keep up there is a typical Viennese sausage kiosk inside.
Be warned that the place is known to suck you in and spit you out just as the sun is coming up, leaving you wondering what just happened and when can you do it again!
