Two dancers, dressed in white, pull, roll and carry each other in the confines of a square stage space delimited by rows of seats on four sides. The audience is up-close to this heavy lifting that is accompanied by loud breathing. The dull thuds of falling bodies and music by Paganini provide additional structure to the acoustic space. "À bras-le-corps" was created in a living room in the early 1990s because the then barely 20-year-old dancers Boris Chamatz and Dimitri Chamblas had no other rehearsal space at their disposal at the time. This wild, precise duet became a real breakthrough.
