UNDERSTANDING – ART & RESEARCH
The University of Applied Arts Vienna presents exemplary approaches to its artistic research under the title UNDERSTANDING – ART & RESEARCH. The exhibition focuses on the desire to comprehend as the immanent creative impulse. By means of concrete projects in the exhibition, examples from research and teaching, science and art make it possible to examine, sense, discuss, and experience the transformation of society. The exhibition, curated by Gerald Bast, Alexander Damianisch, and Barbara Putz-Plecko, will be visiting the MAK this summer after having been on view in New Zealand (Dunedin School of Art), Singapore (Nanyang Technological University), and Los Angeles (UCLA Art|Sci Center).
