What moves you and us, how does that feel? And: how does it work, this being moved deep down inside? To begin with, Simon Mayer, also known as the ‘shaman of the Austrian dance scene’, focuses on breathing. This is what it’s like when air flows into and out of your lungs, when your heart beats, your thoughts are going around in circles and your emotions stir. Here’s a dancer who shows us what he can move. In the process, movement becomes sound, sound becomes dance, and sitting in a circle becomes a party. Mayer transforms his skin into a string instrument, merges with the symphonic surround music of Pascal Holper, conducts into the audience and goes into a trance.
