Netti Nüganen – The Myth: last day

“How long she has been there, defying decomposition, nobody knows.” Netti Nüganen, known to ImPulsTanz audiences as part of the crew of Florentina Holzinger’s celebrated performative excesses Apollon and TANZ, rises from the dirt, only to dive back in, armed with a children’s tape recorder. Everything she finds – be it coffee beans, cucumber water or a designer handbag, be it dusty, vintage, time- or useless – gets meticulously documented. Because every object, says the pseudo-archaeologist (who later turns into a punk rocker), holds energies, myths and narratives. They reach into our present moment and can be newly unleashed aiming toward possible futures.
