The Indian-American rapper, singer, songwriter and dancer Raja Kumari impresses with her storytelling skills. Her mission: To create art that combines both her Indian roots and her American influence. Her music bridges East and West and combines the rhythms that she absorbed as an Indian classical music dancer with her love of hip hop.

With her singles Mute, City Slum (featuring Mumbai Rapper Divine), Believe in You, I Did it and Shook, as well as her début EP The Come Up (an image of Kumari is on the cover, with a golden tilaka, her face wrapped in an American flag), Kumari announced a new face of America.
"I want my fans to feel that they are 100% noticed and in a safe place where they can be themselves because these were my only desires I had as a child."

Zion Flex is a singer-songwriter from Bristol. Heavily influenced by hip hop, trip hop and bass music. She returns with new music from her latest release 'Queen of Herz' created in Austria.

FemFriday, presented by kulturen in bewegung and Weltmuseum Wien, is a concert series putting a spotlight on exceptional female musicians. We want to conquer the man-dominated stages of the music business with excellent female musicians and powerful performances.

FemFriday #8 takes place in cooperation with the Rrriot Festival 2019.
