An endearing comedy about an unexpected interfaith friendship set in London’s East End. Nat Dayan, an old Jewish baker is struggling with his failing business and next door’s supermarket chain who is eager to get their hands on his property. Things take an unexpected turn for the better when he decides to take in Ayyash as his new apprentice. Ayyash, a young Muslim refugee from Darfour, who is facing his own struggles in supporting his family, accidentally drops a load of weed in the dough. Suddenly, the customers can’t get enough of Dayan & Son’s bread.
