Damien Jalet / Nagelhus Schia Productions (FR/BE/NO) Thrice

One of the world’s most sought-after choreographers makes a grand appearance: in recent years, Damien Jalet was a creative consultant for Madonna’s Madame X and Celebration tours, and he created choreographies for Luca Guadagnino’s film Suspiria and Jacques Audiard’s Oscar-winning musical thriller Emilia Pérez. Now the Belgian native presents his programme Thrice, featuring three pieces in one evening at Volkstheater: Les Médusés, which premiered at the Louvre in Paris, Brise-lames, originally a production with the ballet of the Paris Opera, and the new piece Gusts, featuring star saxophonist Bendik Giske.
