CAMILA FREITAS Landless
Landless is a documentary by filmmaker Camila Freitas, who spent four years following an occupation of the Landless Workers’ Movement MST - Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra in Brazil. It is a film about resistance in a landscape in dispute, in which the MST plays a pivotal role, organising people impacted by urban poverty, precarious working conditions and rural displacement in an on-going struggle for the access to land and a self-sustainable life.
In dialogue with Katalin Erdődi, Camila Freitas talks about the collaboration with MST and her artistic approach to documenting Brazil’s largest social movement, also sharing excerpts of her film.
