With this piece, the then New York based US-American choreographer DD Dorvillier conquered European festivals (like ImPulsTanz in 2006) in the mid-noughties. All she needed were such sober-looking props as a bucket, several metres of wire, iPods, microphones and speakers, which combined to create a mysterious map on a white dancefloor. And herself together with Elizabeth Ward as the transformers of a space that provided their impulsive actions with the necessary fuel. Fuel, in this case, means dynamism and the freedom these excellent performers need to turn their minimalism into a great feat. But freedom is a fragile state that may come undone at any time...
