Who the hell do you think I am? Superman?”, the dancer asks. She isn’t, of course. But she has powers of her own that she trusts. Five optimists have gathered here who subscribe to Noam Chomsky’s plea for optimism. The US American intellectual has described it as a strategy that can help create a better future. This does have side effects: sanguine sheep are known to remain in the pasture. Nonetheless, Californian-born, Berlin-based choreographer Frank Willens, dancer of the year several times over, evokes the wholesome effects of believing in a bright future in this colourful and spirited piece.
