Elvin Brandhi aka Freya Edmondes lives between Berlin and Vienna, studied there at the Academy of Fine Arts and is otherwise very busy. She is involved in several performance groups, is well-known for her interventions in public space and collaborations with various artists such as Rhodri Davies, Eugene Chadbourne, Michael Fischer, Alan Wilkinson, Valve or the former, The Jungle Brothers' MC Sensational.

With her raw beats and sounds between pop and noise, which originate from a technically reduced set-up, as well as her improvised lyrics, she has already performed at several festivals such as the Sonic Acts Festival (Amsterdam), Kraak Festival (Brussels), Total Inertia Festival (Leeds), TUSK Festival (Newcastle) or Counterflows (Glasgow). In 2017, she received the PRS Foundation's Oram Award in 'female music creators innovating in music' as part of the new BBC Radiophonic Workshop and was a scholarship holder at the Raw Academy (Senegal).
