10:30 *Daughters of the Revolution: Women Filmmakers in Classic Chinese Animation
Olga Bobrowska, Ph.D. candidate in Film Studies at Jagiellonian University, Kraków, specialized in classic Chinese animated film

Ideas of women's emancipation and liberation from the feudal chains became key concepts for the Chinese feminism movement. The lives and careers of the four observed filmmakers present ambiguous trajectory of this wave. The technical and narrative development of classic Chinese animation was marked with the unique visions of the politically prominent filmmaker and theorist (Chen Bo'er), experimental and influential chief-cinematographer (Duan Xiaoxuan), and the film directors who pursued artistic perfectionism (Tang Cheng) and creative modernization (Lin Wenxiao, Hu Yihong).

The talk will first introduce today's digital transformation process by highlighting critical points of change and open issues. Second, mechanisms and technological means that enable digital transformation of our society will be presented from a computer science point of view. Finally, emerging new opportunities as well as challenges all are facing due the changes that are already happening will be discussed.

Stefanie Wuschitz, Mz*Balthazar´s Lab; Stefanie Wuschitz works at the intersection of art, research and technology, with a particular focus on feminism, open source technology and peer production.

About the democratisation of digitalisation and the access to digital literacy.
Feminist hackerspaces aim at creating a unique space. Through changing conditions intentionally they generate room for experimentation, a safer space, an open space that allows to break with gender norms related to technology.
